Description

Multimodal representations can be described as information that is represented and communicated using two or more modes, such as writing, sound and image. These multiple modes are seen as complementary and can be used interchangeably to allow children to explore, represent and communicate their thinking and learning. Multimodal Representations was a collaborative research project1 designed to support young learners represent and communicate their ideas using multimodal resources.
