Description
The Big Idea session is an inspirational feature of the Summit.Five consumer advocates will present in brief videos their ideas to improve health care, in a virtual event to be hosted live by ABC presenter Ellen Fanning.
The ideas range from a plan to enable more choice in child birth options, to more comprehensive community health centres, and to a proposal for a digital platform to link people in need of mental health support with trained peers. Other Big Ideas are to foster sharing of experience and support with young stroke survivors, and for a digitally-supported program to improve care of homebound people living with a disability. The video-makers were selected from more than 15 candidates who had sent in their videos, each lasting just over one minute, in response to a CHF call for Big Idea entrants.
The video production was supported by CHF's partner in the project, Cinefly and this conference session is sponsored by CSIRO.
