Description
How can research, advocacy, and innovation come together to improve digital health for better care?Dr Maria Alejandra Pinero de Plaza, PHD, Research Fellow, Flinders University, Caring Futures
Institute
Throughout this presentation, we will embark on explaining my team experiences, delving into various aspects of the central question: How can research, advocacy, and innovation come together to improve digital health for better care?
To fully understand this question, we will look into three main topics that lie at the heart of our discussion:
-Setting a transformational agenda: this is about the importance of establishing a comprehensive and forward-thinking strategy that sets the stage for innovation and progress in digital health and catalyse impactful change.
-Understanding collaborative approaches: Collaboration is the cornerstone of success in digital health. We will explore how different stakeholders, for example, health consumers, communities, government entities, industry leaders, advocacy groups, educational institutions, and research organisations, can join forces to achieve better outcomes in harnessing diverse perspectives, expertise, and real-world insights.
-Examining care ecosystems across the life course: The provision of care is not limited to a single point in time; it spans the entire life course. We will explore into the intricacies of care ecosystems, travelling across the dynamic nature of care needs and the evolving challenges faced by individuals with multiple impairments so that we learn to develop targeted interventions that address our needs at different stages and challenges of our lives.
