In 2020, Dr. Tang was consulted for an article published on the site Electrical Connection, which discusses how Flinders University researchers are investigating ways to scavenge invisible power from low-frequency vibrations in the surrounding environments.

Dr. Tang outlines how these triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) may be used for driving electronics such as mobile phones and pacemakers.
