Description
This lecture considers how the drawn and digital elements of the hybrid form of webcomics contribute particular perspectives and knowledge around asylum seeking in Australia. How does access to digital tools of production and distribution open up new spaces? How might webcomics disrupt the material experience of reading? To what extent can webcomics show us experiences previously hidden or invisible?
Lecture delivered as part of "Writing in the Twenty-First Century" third year undergraduate topic at Flinders University.
