The inaugural Student Veteran Cultural Competency Training: Essentials Workshop marked a significant step in supporting University New South Wales’s commitment to understanding and engaging with its veteran student population. Delivered by Andrew Prevett, this 90-minute workshop attracted 125 staff participants from UNSW campuses, equipping them with essential knowledge and skills to better support student veterans within the university.Participants who completed the workshop received a Credly accreditation badge, recognising their dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for student veterans at UNSW. To further reinforce these competencies, Prevett also developed two additional training videos, now incorporated into UNSW’s staff induction program for future training.
