Research Biography
Associate Professor Amanda Muller is a multidisciplinary researcher in the College of Nursing and Health Sciences. She is a member of the Caring Futures Institute and the Torrens Resilience Initiative.
Associate Professor Muller has qualifications in psychology, public health, tertiary education, sociocultural anthropology, and language teaching and assessment. She has additional qualifications in dog behaviour and training, specialising in assistance dogs and substance detection dogs.
Associate Professor Amanda Muller is a nationally accredited editor, an expert member of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency, assessor for the Australian Research Council, and Advisory Board member of the International Academic Forum.
Associate Professor Muller has conducted research into epidemiology, nursing, midwifery, mental health, digital health, healthcare communication, language testing, nursing English, e-learning, and others which can be found in the research section of the staff website.
Associate Professor Amanda Muller uses a range of quantitative research methods to conduct studies in biostatistics, epidemiology, survey validation, Rasch item response measurement, and others using a range of statistical models. She also conducts qualitative and mixed methods studies.
