Research Biography
Dr Ashley Montero is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at FHMRI Sleep Health. His PhD research with SHAPE Research and FHMRI Sleep Health investigated sleep complaints and mental health issues among current and retired athletes. As a mixed methods researcher, his experience spans large-scale epidemiological research, in-laboratory research protocols, and qualitative interviews. His current research focuses on driving performance and risk during periods of extended wakefulness and both the impact and mechanisms of night-to-night variability in individuals with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA).
