Research Biography

Background

After graduating with First Class Honours in the Bachelor of Pharmacy program in 2018, I registered as a pharmacist following an internship with the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network. Since then, I’ve developed broad experience across hospital pharmacy — including dispensary services, clinical care, aseptic production, and specialty practice — and continue to maintain active registration while expanding my research expertise.

Research

I am a strong advocate for AI safety in healthcare, with a particular focus on auditing generative AI tools for safety, quality, and bias. My research aims to ensure that publicly accessible AI systems meet the highest standards — especially in preventing the spread of health misinformation and disinformation. These efforts are grounded in my clinical experience and are enhanced by my technical skills in Python, R, and a hobbyist interest in JavaScript.

Future Directions

Through this research, I hope to bridge the gap between clinical expertise and AI development — helping shape tools that are safe, accurate, and genuinely useful in healthcare settings. I am especially interested in contributing to the improvement of Australia’s health data infrastructure and exploring the integration of AI and machine learning into real-world clinical workflows.

I’m eager to collaborate with like-minded researchers, AI developers, and industry leaders who share this vision. Together, we can drive innovation, optimise patient care, and take on the ambitious task of making AI safer and smarter for healthcare
