Research Biography

Cara has experience designing and facilitating capacity building projects on gender equity, disability inclusion, community development and culturally respectful service delivery. Cara's teaching, training and research on gender and social issues is informed by her international development experience in Vietnam, Indonesia, Kiribati, PNG, Vanuatu and Samoa and aid project partnerships with Solomon Islands, Ugandan, Mongolian, Chinese and Cambodian organisations as well as her public sector experience working in senior policy and planning roles with the South Australian Department of Human Services, South Australian Health Commission and National Public Health Information Development Unit. Cara's clients have included DFAT, AusAID, NZAID, WHO, UN Women Australia, Australian Government Office for Women and numerous Australian State Government women's policy offices.
