Research Biography

My working and educational background has allowed me to explore my passions across work and study, fulfil my love of learning, and fulled my curiosity. My wide range of experiences within and outside of work have helped me to develop a wide-ranging generalist set of technical and professional skills.

My ongoing employment with the ABS and research with Demographic and Health Survey Statistics have helped me to develop strong practical skills in applying geographical, statistical, and programming skill sets to my interests in sustainable, international, and regional development across the world through a demographic lens. My ongoing engagement in a range of activities across work, study, sport, and more see me continually finding and exploring new ways to develop my communication, problem solving, and critical thinking, while working both collaboratively and independently. At the same time, I am always on the lookout for opportunities to explore new skill sets and develop knowledge for creative and innovative applications to all facets of my career. My adaptiveness, diverse life experiences, dedication to producing high quality work, and attention to detail have seen me recognised for my early efforts in research and study.

In 2024, I am undertaking a Doctor of Philosophy degree at Flinders University in my field of Demography and Geography, while continuing my employment with the Australian Bureau of Statistics part-time.
