Research Interests

My research uses DNA-based survey of soils and environments to help better understand the beneficial connections between microbes, soil, plants, and ecosystems - in the context of post-mining restoration, and in contributing to environmental and human health.

I work within the College of Science and Engineering in the lab group of Dr Martin Breed, both collaborating on and leading research activities, involving restoration ecology, genomics and healthy environmental microbiomes.
