Research Biography

Craig joined Flinders in 2006, having previously held lecturing positions at the University of Stirling, Louisiana State University and a number of universities in Australia. Craig's main areas of teaching and research expertise are ethics, applied ethics, philosophy and literature and the philosophy of Ludwig Wittgenstein. Craig's first book Sympathy: A Philosophical Analysis was shortlisted for the 2005 ACU Eureka Prize for Research in Ethics. Craig is the Book Review Editor for the journal Philosophical Investigations and serves on the Editorial Board of the book series Philosophies of Education in Art, Cinema, and Literature published by Bloomsbury.
