Personal profile
Research Biography
I am a clinical psychologist, post-doctoral research fellow and lecturer at Flinders University. My areas of interest (research & clinical) have broadly focused on the treatment of eating disorders and body image concerns, perfectionism, and development of mental health interventions in youth populations, with a particular passion for translating research into real world contexts. My PhD, supported by the Telethon Kids Institute and Fraser Mustard Centre, successfully developed and disseminated an intervention program targeting unhelpful perfectionism and fostering self-compassion across high schools in South Australia.
Currently, I am working on research which aims to develop and evaluate a trauma-informed framework and intervention designed to target youth populations, educators, and families within school settings. I also am responsible for the co-ordination of research and clinical evaluation for the paediatric eating disorder program within the South Australian Child and Adolescent Mental health Service. Outside of the research landscape, I am a lecturer and supervisor for postgraduate students in the Behavioural Health program at Flinders University, and I continue to maintain my private practice delivering eating disorder treatment in my scope as a clinical psychologist.
