Research Biography
After living in Turkey, Canada, the UK and now Australia, Dr Erkan Yalcin has studied at four Universities and taught at eight.
Dr Yalcin has a Bachelor of Science in Economics, a Master of Business Administration in Managerial Economics and a Master of Science in Econometrics, Graduate Coursework in Economics, a PhD in Economic Theory and is currently completing Graduate Coursework in Tertiary Education at the University of New England here in Australia.
He has supervised six Higher Degree Research students, written seven research publications and delivered eight conference presentations and workshops.
Dr Yalcin's research interests include Microeconomics (Firm Behaviour, General Equilibrium, Decision Making under Risk and Uncertainty), Finance (Incomplete Markets, Asset Pricing, Capital and Ownership Structure and Corporate Governance) and the Political Economy (Voting Behaviour, Electoral and Political Competition).
