Research Biography

I am a problem solver driven by curiosity, with a special focus on the environment. I started studying Environmental Sciences at UBA (Argentina) which gave me the opportunity to dive into the research world.
Being mentored by Agustin Rearte, I spent many years attempting to understand biological systems which can bring solutions to human problems, based in the lab I tried to design algal wastewater treatment processes that can offer low cost water recycling.
At that Uni lab I met the founders of Grupo IFES, who gave me the opportunity to work with them and learn about biogas projects. This was another milestone in my personal formation.
Years later, I am in beautiful Adelaide, proudly doing research with Howard Fallowfield at Flinders, and working again with algae. This time I am after the new generation of municipal wastewater treatment, using filamentous algae. The future looks good and green!
