Personal profile
Research Biography
I am a Public Health Specialist. My research area of interest is around HIV care. I have also a particular interest in social determinants of health, traditional health practices and One Health approach. In addition, I have methodological expertise in mixed methods approach.
I have substantial experience in performing and managing quantitative and qualitative research projects including: writing proposal, managing a research team (office, fieldwork), recruiting study participants, collecting, synthesizing and analyzing data, and disseminating data through official reports, policy briefs, conferences and peer reviewed publications.
For my quantitative projects, I have used the following designs: cross-sectional, case control, cohort and cluster randomized trial studies; and analyses techniques: descriptive analyses, ANOVA, linear regression, logistic regression (binary, multinomial and complex), cox regression, meta-analysis, non-parametric tests and conjoint analysis, using SPSS, STATA and EpiData.
For my qualitative projects, I have used semi-structured, in-depth interviews and nominal group techniques; and analysed using thematic framework analyses and content analysis, using NVivo software.
