Imogen is a Research Fellow within the Caring Futures Institute. She completed her PhD at the University of South Australia in 2021, and a Master of Psychology (Clinical) at the University of South Australia in 2022. Her PhD received multiple awards for excellence, including a Bupa Health Research Award (2018), UniSA's "Transformed PhD" Research Excellence Award (2019), and the UniSA Clinical & Health Sciences Postgraduate Thesis Award (2021).
Imogen's research is informed by her background in psychology, and largely focuses on understanding the impacts of cancer on physical, psychological, and social health. By improving how we collect and use information about these outcomes, Imogen hopes to drive the development of interventions and services that improve health and quality of life for people affected by cancer.
Imogen is a registered psychologist and member of the Australian Psychological Society, Multinational Association for Supportive Care in Cancer (MASCC), Psycho-Oncology Co-Operative Research Group, and International Society of Quality of Life Research (ISOQOL). She was awarded a MASCC Survivorship Group Fellowship in 2019 and currently serves as Secretary of the ISOQOL Australia and New Zealand Special Interest Group.
Imogen has skills in evidence synthesis; survey design; quantitative data analysis; and selecting, using, and appraising psychometric instruments such as patient-reported outcomes.
