Research Biography

Jack Manners is a Research Associate at the Flinders Health and Medical Research Institute (FHMRI): Sleep Health (formerly AISH) exploring the potential of novel methods and technology to enhance diagnostic, management and treatment pathways for sleep health disorders. His current focus is in leveraging consumer sleep technology for use in sleep clinics. Mr Manners' expertise in consumer sleep technologies has fostered collaborations across diverse research areas, positioning him as the custodian of an extensive sleep data repository encompassing more than 20 studies and over 1000 participants, including the ongoing multi-generational Raine study. He also co-created and validated a scale for the recruitment of good sleepers in research (the GSS-15). His research goal  is to translate and implement complex psychophysiological mechanisms into clinical practise, and ultimately improve sleep treatment capacity and efficacy worldwide.
