Personal profile
Research Interests
I'm a PhD student at Flinders University, Australia with a background in genetics and molecular biology, now focused on improving water quality. My research involves characterising wastewater from shipping operations to better understand its composition and impact on marine environments. This work is crucial for the shipping industry, as it helps identify pollutants and assess their effects on ocean health. By providing detailed insights into shipping wastewater, my research aims to develop strategies for mitigating its environmental impact, promoting more sustainable maritime practices, and enhancing the overall health of marine ecosystems.
