Research Biography

As a Biomedical Engineer, my research interests are Biomaterials Engineering and Biomechanics of soft tissues. I've focused on design, fabrication, characterization and biological assessment of tissue engineered constructs, mainly hydrogels, for regenerative medicines and drug delivery purposes. Also, I have been working in the field of multi-scale characterization of structure-function properties of soft tissues at nano, micro, macro levels and their combination. In particular, application of biomaterials in developing strategies for regeneration of tissue is my research emphasis.
