Research Biography

Dr Jayne Carberry is a Senior Research Fellow at Adelaide Institute for Sleep Health, Flinders University. With a background in sleep and respiratory physiology, her research primarily focuses on understanding the multiple causes of obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA) with a view to develop new targeted therapies. She has carried out proof-of concept studies, large-scale detailed physiology phenotyping studies and clinical trials to provide significant insight into the use of different pharmacological agents as a potential treatment for OSA. She is also investigating how targeted upper airway muscle training may be beneficial for people with OSA.
