Jianling is a biochemist who has studied the cellular signalling pathways that involve mTOR, a master regulator of cell anabolism. He has built up a continuous track record based on mTOR-related publications, and has authored 40 peer-reviewed publications, including 18 first/last author papers in top-ranking journals; e.g. Curr Biol, Cell Mol Life Sci, Diabetologia, Int J Cancer, J Biol Chem, Mol Cell Biol, J Mol Biol, among others. His articles has thus far been cited 1321 times (search date: 07/08/2020, Google Scholar). Most of these papers are related to protein synthesis/mRNA translation, tumour growth/survival/metastasis and pancreatic β-cell functions. He also hold two patents and authored two book chapters and has given 8 presentations at international conferences. He recently joint A/Prof. Luke Selth's lab at Flinders Centre for Innovation in Cancer and his research interests have now evolved towards studying the regulation of mRNA translation in prostate cancer progression.
