Personal profile

Research Interests

My primary interest is understanding how neurons solve the challenges of biological communication to control behaviour. Irrespective of the animal, neurons produce electrical signals in order communicate information. These electrical signals are communicated through biological components, and each of these components imposes their own limitations and constraints on signalling. I am interested in using simple model animals like insects, to understand how neurons control highly sophisticated behaviours within the limitations imposed by biological components and processes.
