Research Biography

Julie Clark has been in mathematics education for 30 years. Her career has spanned across primary, secondary and tertiary levels. She is passionate about mathematics and teaching and is currently the Associate Dean in Learning and Teaching in the School of Education at Flinders University, South Australia. Julie has worked and studied in both Australia and the USA.   Her research interests centre on the effective teaching and learning of mathematics and have recently focussed on rural schools and technology. Julie has received a University Teaching and Innovation grant and was a part of an ALTC(OLT) project. She has worked for a number of mathematics professional organisations and was the Vice President (Communications) for the Mathematics Education Research Group of Australasia (MERGA).
