Research Biography

Dr Khadka is an Optometrist by training. He was awarded PhD from Cardiff University (UK), followed by Post-doctoral fellowship at Flinders University. His main research interests are quality of life (QoL), patient-reported outcome measurements (PROM), psychometric methods including families of Rasch analysis, item banking, computer adaptive testing system and low vision rehabilitation. His work is focussed on finding ways to improve and optimize measurement qualities of ophthalmic QoL questionnaires. He is currently developing smarter and tehcnologically advanced QoL measuring questionnaires in the forms of item banks to be implemented via computer adaptive testing system (The Eye-tem Bank project) for all eye diseases across all population worldwide.
