Research Biography

Kacie is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and Early Career Researcher in Nutrition and Dietetics at Flinders University. She completed her research training at CSIRO and the University of Adelaide examining the effects of excess sodium intake on biomarkers for cardiovascular disease. She joined Flinders University in 2014 and makes wide-ranging contributions to teaching, research and administration related to the undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Nutrition and Dietietics. Alongside her research training, Kacie also has 8 years experience working as a Dietitian in community and clinical settings mainly with adults with chronic disease.

**During 2018 she will be undertaking an Endeavour Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in the Department of Nutritional Sciences, University of Toronto**

Research Interests

My research interests lie in the area of the nutrition and food intake for the prevention and management of chronic disease. This research is conducted in the clinical and community setting.
