Katie joined the Flinders University International Centre for Point-of-Care Testing in early 2021 to work with both the Northern Territory Point-of-Care Testing (NT POCT) Program and the Quality Assurance for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Medical Services (QAAMS) Program. She joined the team with a Masters in Public Health from Imperial College London where she specialised in Global Health and the social determinants of health and wellbeing.
Katie has experience working in rural communities in Malawi, especially in terms of non-communicable diseases, geographical and social access to health services, and community based health care models.
