Research Biography

Kelly joined the International Centre for Point-of-Care Testing in August 2015 with a background in diagnostic laboratories and quality management. She is a Scientific Manager and Program Lead for the TTANGO STI POCT Program and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Respiratory Infection POCT Program. Among other things, she is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the training and quality management services for these programs and providing ongoing POCT support for participating health services.

Kelly is also involved in the Centre's work as a WHO Collaborating Cenre, including the multi-country validation of POC testing for chlamydia, gonorrhoea and trichomonas. She is involved in the development of overall training and quality management resources, as well as coordination of the participating Australian sites.
