Recently, I have been appointed as the research co-ordinator for the Hand and Upper Limb Orthopaedic Surgery Unit at Flinders University.

In my last five years at Flinders University, I have worked in clinical research through the Department of Clinical Pharmacology. In May 2018, I completed my doctorate degree at Flinders University. Being part of this department has trained me well in ethical process for conducting clinical research, collecting data either by patient interview, case notes or electronic data on a large scale, and analysing the results using different statistical approaches through computer packages.

Over the last three year, I have been teaching as a casual academic the principles of pharmacology and therapeutics to medical science and paramedic students at Flinders University. More recently, I had the opportunity to privately tutor Indigenous students at Flinders University and University of Adelaide. This has improved my abilities to present and communicate complex content with students, getting students to engage with the topic, and providing effective feedback to students on their assignments or in-class activities.

As of now, I am interested in pursuing work that I can apply my skills in a clinical research field where I can use my experience from my research to contribute to other research projects. In addition, I would like to also expand my exposure to academic teaching in higher level education to build on my teaching philosophy.
