Research Biography

Dr Leah Couzner is a Research Associate with research interests in the health and wellbeing of older adults and young onset dementia. Her research experience has focused on clinical rehabilitation interventions for older adults residing in residential care and the quality of life and health care preferences of older adults. Leah is currently involved in projects focusing on trauma-informed care for older adults and young onset dementia. Leah has previously conducted both quantitative and qualitative research in the areas of health economics, mental health nursing, clinical education and paramedicine. Prior to this she worked in the community aged care sector.

Leah is also employed as a Research Support Assistant in Research Development and Support (Flinders Health and Medical Research Institute), providing administrative assistance in the grant submission process.
