Research Biography
Lemma is early career cardiovascular health researcher. His research interest and focus is developing model of chronic cardiovascular care through implementation of novel interventions.
He obtained a fully funded and competitive Beacon of Enlightenment PhD scholarship from the University of Adelaide in 2017. Lemma conducted his PhD project on cardiovascular risk factors management and related health literacy.
Before his PhD study, he has contributed to improving outpatient cardiovascular service in Ethiopia. He has also conducted studies to improve adherence to self-management for patients with chronic cardiovascular conditions. Lemma was a lecturer and researcher at Haramaya University, Ethiopia. He was head of Summer education program.
