Personal profile

Research Interests

My research interests are in sleep, circadian rhythms, bright light therapy, and treatments for insomnia.   Recent research projects include insomniacs' perception of sleep, evaluating a new behavioural treatment for sleep onset insomnia and exploring the recuperative effects of brief naps.   We have developed a new portable light device in conjunction with Re-time Pty. Ltd. for administration of bright light therapy for the treatment of body clock disorders. We have also developed a small ring like commercial device (THIM) to treat insomnia, track sleep, and allow the optimal 10-min sleep 'Power Nap'.
