Research Biography

Liz Grandmaison is a PhD candidate at Flinders University in South Australia. Her research focuses on the theoretical and practical interventions needed for memory institutions (galleries, libraries, archives and museums) to transform from spaces of confinement and extraction into spaces of liberation for their publics and workers. She serves as a member of the South Australian Branch Committee of the Australian Museums and Galleries Association (AMaGA) and has held positions at Flinders University Museum of Art and the History Trust of South Australia.
