Louise spent the first decade of her career working in clinical, educational and managerial roles in Flinders Medical Centre’s Emergency Department. The second decade was spent in Victoria, working in clinical, research and management roles in public health. The last decade has been spent in strategic, service and policy areas with SA Health. Louise's doctoral research involved the development and psychometric testing of a new Patient Reported Experience Measure (PREM) and Carer Reported Experience Measure (CREM) for use by older people (and their carers) in the hopsital setting. Louise's research interests include improving hospital care for older people, including people with dementia and promoting and measuring the experience of care against the Australian Charter of Healthcare Rights. Louise has research expertise in qualitative and quantitative methods, with specialist expertise in co-design, Delpi technique and Rasch analysis.
