Research Biography

Dr Lucinda (Lucy) Bell is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian and public health nutrition researcher with a focus on children's health and nutrition. Broadly, Lucy's research goals centre on prevention of chronic disease, in particular the prevention of childhood obesity, and informing policies and programs that promote child health. She has strong public health nutrition skills in child nutrition, evidence-based nutrition intervention, and dietary assessment.

Lucy has several years of professional experience spanning the development of innovative and validated measures of young children's food intake, and delivery and evaluation of child nutrition and weight management initiatives across a range of settings: child care centres, families, and communities.
