Research Biography

I am a social-political psychologist investigating how emotions, identities, perceptions, and ideologies shape collective action, allyship, and well-being. My research examines political emotions — including despair, anger, and hope — and how they influence engagement in progressive social change, from climate and racial justice to workplace gender equality. A central strand of this work asks how we can sustain collective action and allyship while protecting people's well-being. My research prioritises practical implications, aiming to produce outcomes that inform policy, industry, government, and non-governmental organisations.
