Research Biography

Professor Lucy Lewis is the Deputy Dean of Graduate Research in the Office of Graduate Research at Flinders University. In this role, she focusses on Higher Degree by Research growth, industry engagement and Cross-College collaboration. Lucy is also a Professor of Physiotherapy and a full member of the Carring Futures Institute in the College of Nursing and Health Sciences. Her research focusses on the promotion of healthy lifestyle behaviours across the lifecourse. Current research projects include investigating activity levels of older adults in aged care, development of Physiotherapy Clinical Practice Guidelines for people living with dementia, frailty prevention and sport participation across the lifespan. Lucy has  supervised Honours, Masters by Research and PhD students to completion and is registered to supervise students both as Principal and Associate Supervisor.
