Madeleine is an early career researcher who works in the emerging and rapidly developing field of behavioural genomics. She is currently employed as a postdoctoral researcher in the Behavioural Genetic and Environmental Mechanisms (Behavioural GEMs) lab at Flinders University.
Her grant-funded work focuses on improving outcomes for individuals with disordered eating by identifying and integrating novel genomic and epigenomic variables with biological and psychosocial factors. Her upcoming research looks at associations between disordered eating in adolescence and mental and physical health outcomes in early adulthood.
Madeleine received her PhD in psychology in 2024, focusing on disordered eating classification and polygenic and epigenetic associations in the general population. She is currently working on a NHMRC Ideas Grant funded project, focusing on improving outcomes for individuals with disordered eating through a biopsychosocial lens that incorporates genomic, epigenetic, and environmental factors.
She has 2 publications published in Q1 (top 10%) journals and is due to submit an additional 2 publications before the end of 2024.
