Dr Michele Conlin is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Aged Care Research & Industry Innovation Australia (ARIIA) and a registered nurse with expertise in implementation science, health services research, and research translation. She holds a Doctor of Public Health from La Trobe University, where her industry-based research examined community microgrants as a strategy for promoting health and wellbeing in rural communities.

At ARIIA, Michele is a member of the Workforce Capability Building team, where she designs and delivers education programs, workshops, and resources that build capability for innovation and evidence-informed practice across the aged care sector. She also contributes to consultancy projects, leading and supporting evaluations of programs and service innovations to generate practical evidence that informs decision-making and continuous improvement.

Michele's research focuses on implementation science, evaluation, and research translation, with a particular interest in understanding how evidence can be effectively implemented, adapted, and sustained in real-world health and aged care settings. Her work is grounded in collaboration with providers, clinicians, and communities to ensure research is practical, relevant, and responsive to sector needs.

With more than 15 years of clinical experience in community and residential aged care, Michele brings a practice-informed perspective to applied research. She has contributed to multidisciplinary research projects across Australia, France, and Spain and has published in leading national and international journals, including Health Expectations, Health Promotion Journal of Australia, Clinical Microbiology and Infection, and The Lancet Regional Health – Western Pacific. Her work is driven by a commitment to strengthening the quality, innovation, and sustainability of aged care through collaborative, evidence-informed research.
