Research Biography

I am an Associate Professor of the Sociology of Work, specialising in organisational careers and gender equity.

My recent research has been published in leading journals and with respected publishers, including a book with Palgrave Macmillan, two book chapters (Routledge, Springer), and multiple journal articles in Q1 Scimago journals and/or A/B journals on the ABDC list, including Gender, Work and Organization (top 10%), Career Development International (top 10%), and Australian Journal of Career Development.

I am a Senior Editor for Career Development International (Q1, top 10%) and on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Higher Education Policy and Management (Q1), as well as a reviewer for several other high quality journals.

My new book Building Your Career: A Guide for Students, published with Presssbooks, is an Open Educational Resource, bringing together contextual information on graduate employability, activities to build students' career identity and practical advice and guidance for students who are actively preparing to look for work.
