Research Biography

My primary research interests are in public relations and cultural studies. My dissertation explores the media effects on people in culturally and economically different countries. Considering the rapid rise of social media, the study investigates the rising concerns of believing information, misinformation and disinformation from different sources during a crisis event. Other interests include the perspectives of leadership in change management and the use of persuasiveness in public discourse.

I have completed my PhD from Flinders University and am a recipient of the Vice-Chancellor’s Award for Doctoral Thesis Excellence. In my five years of teaching graduate and postgraduate cohorts, I have employed innovative constructivist approaches leveraging eLearning technologies to enhance students' knowledge, professional skills and industry-relevant competencies. The central focus of my teaching practice is to foster sustained student engagement and motivation, and to encourage learners to develop the understanding and capabilities necessary for success in their future careers. I have collaborated with my academic colleagues, industry leaders and business organisations to extend the realm of learning beyond traditional classrooms and embed it within authentic and real-world contexts. My contributions to institutional quality assurance processes include participation in moderation and validation activities, as well as engagement in external audits conducted by agencies such as ASQA and TEQSA. I have also contributed to research and scholarship through presentations at international conference papers, and publications in Q1 Journals. In addition to my academic experience, I bring 18 years of professional industry practice across India, the Middle East, and Australia, which further informs and enriches my teaching and curriculum design.
