Research Biography

Dr. Naser Pourazad is a Senior Lecturer in Marketing at Flinders University. His research portfolio, totalling over A$10.1M in external funding, spans diverse areas including agricultural resilience, defence capability, digital inclusion, and community development. His projects demonstrate a strong focus on building resilience across various sectors, from supporting Aboriginal cultural tourism initiatives and regional communities to enhancing defence capabilities against information threats. His research work extends to digital transformation in SMEs, climate-smart agricultural practices, and developing culturally-responsive solutions for diverse communities. These projects involve collaboration with multiple government departments and agencies, including the Australian Government Future Drought Fund, Department of Defence, and various state government bodies. Dr. Pourazad has authored 12 Q1 research publications in prestigious business, marketing, and technology journals, including the Journal of Academy of Marketing Science and European Journal of Marketing. He serves as a Guest Editor for the Australasian Journal of Marketing and Journal of Strategic Marketing's 2024 Special Issues. His academic excellence was recognized with the 2023 Research Excellence for Outstanding Achievement by an Early Career Researcher award. As an active member of multiple research centres at Flinders University, including the Centre for Social Impact, Australian Industrial Transformation Institute, Jeff Bleich Centre for Democracy and Disruptive Technologies, and Flinders Factory of the Future, Dr. Pourazad contributes to cross-disciplinary research initiatives. He is the CBGL Early Career Research representative, and he chairs the CBGL Business Research Strategy Group and HDR Journal Club. Prior to his academic career, he gained valuable industry experience as a Marketing Manager and Business Analyst at Iran Dairy Industrial Co., the largest dairy company in the Middle East.
