Research Biography

I have a passion for research into yoga and mindfulness-based interventions for mental health. I have just submitted my PhD thesis on yoga for anxiety and depression in consumers with a chronic psychosis or mood-based intervention. Qualitative findings on this research were positive on the acceptability of a yoga intervention, the importance of trauma-informed yoga and potential lifestyle and behavioural modifications with yoga practice, for this consumer group.

I also have a strong interest in improving the physical health of mental health consumers, and particularly the role of exercise.
