Dr Nuy Chau completed a Bachelor of Science (First Class Honours) in Pharmacology in 2010 and subsequently a PhD in Pharmacology in 2019 from Flinders University of South Australia. Her PhD thesis investigated the enzymology of human drug and chemical glucosidation, a less well known metabolic pathway for drugs in humans. Nuy is currently based in the Drug Metabolism Laboratory with Professor John Miners and Dr Pramod Nair investigating the structure-function of drug metabolising enzymes (UGTs and CYPs), using a combination of computational and experimental approaches to understand the mechanisms of ligand (substrate/cofactor) recognition and binding.
