Priyanka is a Registered Nurse and digital health technology researcher. She is the Research Associate for ‘Digital Technology’ stream of the End of Life Directions in Aged Care [ELDAC] Project at Flinders University. Her work focuses on developing, implementing, and evaluating an evidence based palliative care digital dashboard for the Australian aged care sector.
Priyanka’s research interests include digital health, chronic disease management, pain self-management, and aged care. She is particularly interested in investigating the use of digital technologies in the context of chronic, aged, and palliative care. Her mixed methods doctoral project explored the feasibility of using a pain self-management app to help older people better manage their arthritic pain. In addition to her digital technology expertise, Priyanka also has extensive experience in the area of clinical trials recruitment, trial implementation, data monitoring, and safety reporting procedures. Priyanka is a member of the University of Notre Dame (School of Nursing) Ethics committee, and serves as a peer-reviewer for Collegian, Chronic illness, and Contemporary Nurse.
