Research Biography
Rachael currently teaches in the Early Childhood Education degrees at Flinders University. She is Professional Experience co-ordinator for all Early Childhood placement topics. Rachael also co-ordinates the Early Childhood Literacy topics and the Undergraduate Play and development topic.
Prior to working at Flinders University, Rachael worked in a Long Day Childcare service as Room Leader of the pre-school room. She has also taught in primary schools, both in Australia and in the UK. Prior to emigrating to Australia, Rachael taught in several primary schools and nurseries. She also has prior experience of working in special schools and Montessori centres.
Rachael is also a PhD candidate at Flinders University researching childrens' scientific thinking and science assessment.
