Research Biography

Raechel Damarell is a PhD candidate in the College of Nursing and Health Sciences, exploring general practitioner experiences of managing patients with multimorbidity and a life-limiting illness. She also provides research assistance to projects on digital health in palliative care for the Centre for Research Excellence in End of Life Care.

Raechel was previously a health librarian with Flinders University Library, based at the Gus Fraenkel Medical Library, FMC. She has also been employed as a Research Associate with the Australian Knowledge Network in palliative care (CareSearch) and as an Investigator with the specialist research group Flinders Filters. Her research work has included major bibliometric projects with Cancer Council Australia, EviQ (Cancer Institute of NSW), the Lowitja Institute, PHCRIS, International Foundation for Integrated Care, and Sexual Health & Family Planning Australia (SH&FPA).

Evidence synthesis, search methodologies, search filter development, systematic review methodologies, critical appraisal of research.
