I am a PhD Candidate in Flinders Cancer Research in the College of Medicine and Public Health (Primary Supervisor: Prof Bogda Koczwara) investigating Secondary Prevention of Cancer and co-morbidities, specifically in the identification and management of cardiovascular disease in cancer patients. My project will lead to the development a digital tool to optimise identification of CVD risk through the application of a risk algorithm and assist in the provision of care via lifestyle change to reduce risk. I am also the Coordinator of the iScreen project, which will develop, implement and evaluate a web portal to identify and manage unmet needs in cancer survivors. I am also involved in other projects within Flinders Cancer Research, with a research focus on cancer survivorship, cancer and chronic disease co-morbidity, and digital health in cancer. As a Flinders Nutrition and Dietetics graduate, I also provide Research assistance to Professor Michelle Miller (Dean, People and Resources, College of Nursing and Health Sciences) across a wide range of projects, and my tasks involve ethics applications, data collection and analysis and dissemination of findings.
