Research Biography

Sam is a Senior lecturer in the sociology of education, and coordinator of the Graduate Diploma in Research Methods. Sam teaches sociology of education, qualitative research methods and Indigenous education. She pursues research on race, whiteness, global citizenship, and countering violent extremism. Sam is chief editor of Critical Race and Whiteness Studies Journal and her work contributes to the broad field of critical race and whiteness studies in Australia and internationally.
